5 Keys To Making A Great First Impression
We’ve all been there and have all seen it right? That sales person comes up to you, offers you something you can’t refuse, when in fact all you are focused on is how AWFUL he looks and how not put together he seems. This could even go for going to a bakery, and the person behind the counter looks horrendous! We’ve all heard that line, “First impressions are lasting impressions”. I can’t stress how important it is, whether you are a professional or what have you, but appearance can make or break what someone thinks of you right out the door.
Here are 5 Qualities of Appearance that make people instantly look like leaders:
1. Looking Polished and Groomed.
Men it’s okay to shave that face.. the ladies love it!
2. Being physically attractive and fit.
Now this isn’t saying you have to have 6 pack abs or anything, but staying in shape is not only good for your confidence, it’s also great for your body and everyday life. Checkout T-25 from beach body… I do this daily with my wife and I tell ya it makes you more attractive. :-)
3. Dressing in Simple, Stylish Clothes.
I buy a lot of my clothes from H&M (because it fits nice on my body and just looks great!) I also look for good looking nice fitting clothes at Target’e (like to sound french makes it cooler). The answer is it doesn’t matter where you buy clothes, nowadays every place has great looking clothes that will almost fit every area of business.
4. Stand Tall.
Posture is everything! That goes for the ladies. What is sexy is when a man and or women walks into a room, standing tall and full of confidence. It shows that you are owning who you are and what you do. This is the “impression factor”.
5. Looking Youthful.
This just means being in with what is current and looking great and trendy, but not too trendy. I see so many people who try and look 20 when they are 30 and it doesn’t work. Well.. it may work for some, but in the end they aren’t taken seriously. I think also for men, it’s okay to have hair on your arms and legs… that is manly. haha ;-)
So I challenge all of you if you do not already, start making the small but needed changes in your life and start making long lasting impressions on those around you.
Who knows, it could lead to a life changing job, career.
